What a fun weekend I had with my cousins Beth & Sue! They arrived on Thursday and we hit the high spots. Napa on Friday, Carmel on Saturday followed by dinner with cousin Matthew, and San Francisco on Sunday. A whirlwind of great conversation, great food & wine, and lots of cheese!
Friday found us in Napa. First stop, Mondavi followed by lunch at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro in Yountville. Rombauer Vineyards and Mumm Napa finished off our tour. Dinner at Boulevard was amazing!
One of my favorite things to do in the city is to go to the Ferry Building, stopping by the different storefronts and creating a picnic lunch. Acme bread, Cowgirl Creamery cheese, figs and olives, Hog Island Oysters, Tasty Salted Pig Parts, Scharffenberger Chocolate (salted caramel, please). I take it all to the Wine Merchant and they will pour a flight of wines to match my cheese choices. They are so nice!
Thank you for spending the weekend with me! It was great to have you on the west coast. xox-wen
I imagine this subject will go on for quite a while as I’m surrounded by so many fun and fabulous things! For today, I will choose another favorite…
Family! I have been blessed beyond measure with a wonderful family. My parents are amazing, my siblings stellar, but the prize by far are those 5 boys who have stolen my heart. Auntie Princess Wendy loves you!
I must dwell on these fab 5 for just a bit longer. We’ll start with the oldest, Chad. One of my favorite things about Chad is that he is not afraid to change his style…
Sean, his younger brother has always been a love and a half. We’ve had a lot of fun times together, but none as great as when they took an airplane to have a slumber party with me. They were 7 & 5 and so cute with their little backpacks. Now, he is a giant ~ and not too shabby at DDR. (Mom, that stands for Dance, Dance Revolution!
The next 2 are Jackson & Connor. We had the best time last summer when they spent the week with Keith & I. Too many fun things to recap here, so here are pics from each day. They held up the number of fingers for which day of the trip we were on.
Ok, last but most certainly not least, James Bryan Hall.
What’s not to love??
