Since all of our belongings are still in storage, I needed to supplement the few ornaments that I’ve collected the last couple of years (thank you, Pottery Barn after Christmas sales!) The woods surrounding our house were the perfect inspiration.
Thankfully, Indelisa was coming to visit and she made a little magic. Glitter birds in my mud birds nest, pine cones, bark with lichen, moss pillows, Eastern Pine boughs. She even added pieces of my Gram’s jewelry. Resourceful and festive.
My first house guest, Indelisa, and I decided to use her 24 hours in MA to discover the picturesque town of Concord. Concord Center is just a couple of miles from our new place and it is so charming I can hardly stand it. Nathaniel Hawthorn’s house, Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House, Sleepy Hollow cemetery, Thoreau’s Walden Pond and cutie-pie shops to just to name a few ways to spend the day. A fresh dusting of snow only added to the charm.
My new favorite store is Nesting on Main. What a wonderland of delightful finds! I think it would be easier and less expensive if I just moved in there instead of trying to relocate everything to my house.
I couldn’t stop myself from taking pictures! This place is really dreamy. Owned and operated by three lovely ladies ~ Melissa, Wendi & Beth. What gifts for purchasing and merchandising they have.
Thank you for being so photogenic, sweet Concord! I can’t believe we live here!!
Not just a charming address… OUR charming address. Gotta love waking up on Christmas morning to a little snow. Hooray for a New England Christmas… and a puppy! Well, a gift certificate for a puppy that is on his way. Keith decided that his name will be Hamish as indicated by his personalized dog bed.
Hi - I am a wedding and event planner that recently moved from the San Francisco bay area into the Phineas Wright House, in Bolton, MA. Here, you will find stories about our New England life, the fabulous discoveries that each day brings and all the things that make me smile. Thanks for visiting!
