What a fun weekend I had with my cousins Beth & Sue! They arrived on Thursday and we hit the high spots. Napa on Friday, Carmel on Saturday followed by dinner with cousin Matthew, and San Francisco on Sunday. A whirlwind of great conversation, great food & wine, and lots of cheese! Friday found us in Napa. First stop, Mondavi followed by lunch at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro in Yountville. Rombauer Vineyards and Mumm Napa finished off our tour. Dinner at Boulevard was amazing! One of my favorite things to do in the city is to go to the Ferry Building, stopping by the different storefronts and creating a picnic lunch. Acme bread, Cowgirl Creamery cheese, figs and olives, Hog Island Oysters, Tasty Salted Pig Parts, Scharffenberger Chocolate (salted caramel, please). I take it all to the Wine Merchant and they will pour a flight of wines to match my cheese choices. They are so nice! Thank you for spending the weekend with me! It was great to have you on the west coast. xox-wen
